Penny Hardaway comeback

I know people are poking fun at the fact that Penny wants to play again in the NBA for the Heat with the super trio of Bosh, Wade, and Lebron. Remember this, he's focused now get him into a training camp and the talk of 'hes 39 and hasn't played since 2007" may disappear. Remember this to, the majority of those who laugh at him for wanting to come back Penny could cross you up and dunk on you 24/7, 365 days a year, its not like he's completely forgotten how to play. Dominique Wilkins can still dunk at 47 when playing in NBA legends games so Penny wanting back in at 39 is not all that insane. Penny could truly contribute coming off the bench, I just hope that we also see the return of Lil' Penny too.

What the Edmonton Eskimos need to do vs the Winnipeg Blue Bombers tommorow

Score in the 4th quarter, plain and simple that's it. The Esks have not scored at all in the 4th quarter. How do you go three games of a CFL season and not score in the 4th? For crying out loud in this league you get a half a point practically for tying your shoes right. This week 4 game is just what the doctor ordered to get their first win of the season and move to 1-3. No Buck Pierce at QB and a shaky Steven Jyles replacing him, if the Esks cant capitalize on this game well then they have just made the season harder on themselves. I'm calling a 28-17 win for the Esks because if Ricky Ray and Fred Stamps can find their grove again like they almost did for the entire game vs Saskatchewan well then it will be a long night for the Bombers come Saturday.

It's been awhile

Well, I'm back on blogger.com with this blog, alot has changed, we now have a black President in the US, Ron Artest got an NBA title (but he still makes crappy rap albums) and I'm no longer on blogtalkradio.com. If youve been lost since my last blog on here in March 2009, dont worry I'll bring you up to speed, I'm now on a site called Ustream.tv (I've been on there since febuary 2010) its a cool site and now you can see my pretty face during the show. Soft part 3 (The MLB)

Well, im back with part 3 of soft and this week its the MLB's turn for me to rip. What's soft about they MLB? well lets start with the owners and their refusal to put a salaray cap in baseball, its plain ludicrous that the Yankees can go out and spend close to $1 Billion dollars on players while the Florida Marlins spend just barley over $20 million and are more competitive than the Bronx Bombers. When will owners learn that buying every superstar does not help you win championships! THERE ARE TOO MANY EGO'S IN THE CLUBHOUSE FOR THE PLAYERS TO COME TOGETHER TO WIN A TITLE! With a team like the Yankees, their players are thinking more about having "relations" with Madonna then scooping up that groud ball and getting the throw to first. Whats another issue with the MLB? The MLB, needs to work out the instant replay in the game, the MLB has gotten it right with instant replays for homeruns but what about the instant replays for say plays at the plate?! Major League baseball, one of the many leagues that thinks they can satisfy fans problems by fixing one problem and sweeping the rest of them under the rug thinking that the fans will be fine with the one problem fixed. HEY BUD SELIG FANS ARE NOT STUPID WAKE UP AND GET A NEW TOUPE YOU PUPPET FOR THE GREEDY OWNERS AND GROW SOME BACK BONE! IF YOU HAD ONE YOU WOULDNT HAVE CALLED A TIE IN THE ALL STAR GAME IN 2002!

Soft part 2 (the NFL)

Well, I'm back with part 2 of soft, this time I'm ripping the National Football League.
Where to start with this league? I say lets start with the fact that too many players in this league are out of control. Too many NFL players are allowed to run wild with no boundaries and end up getting themselves into stupid sitautions that can land them in jail or worse (ex:Pacman Jones in the strip club and Plaxico Burress shooting himself in the leg), what happened to managment/coaches telling these guys to be back in the hotel room by midnight or else its a $1000 fine or you dont play in the next game? Its a shame that too many teams are afraid of what the players may do if they are "leashed", teams in the NFL need to get rid of the guys that dont care about the team and only want to party more often than they do now. There are many players in the NFL who have drug charges in the off season and come back to training camp as if nothing happened. NOW THAT IS EMBARRASING drugs can land you in jail and kill you just like shooting a gun recklessly so why d0 these guys get off easier than others with the law and teams? Many factors could play into why these guys who get drug charges get off easier position, color, what team they play on, what their name is...... All NFL teams should get rid of these junkies and wild wild west gunmen and I really do not care what their name is the NFL says that they have rules in place to truly ban players for life for drug charges or behavior that is not benefical to the team or league SURE YOU DO, Pacman Jones could mess up about 2 more times and all NFL commisioner Roger GOONdell would say is "well Adam (real name of Pacman Jones) needs to get himself sraight or else we will do something". The second reason why I'm ripping this league is the man in charge Roger GOONdell (actually Goodell) this idiot first of all takes the Pro Bowl out of Hawaii and moves it to Miami hey Roger the reason it was in Hawaii is becuase it was supposed to be A VACATION FOR THE PLAYERS, COACHES AND COMMENTATORS OF THE LEAGUE! Most players in the NFL are from Miami! My goodness how in the world did he replace Paul Tagliabu? Wait there is more, this idiot takes away constant football in Europe by shutting down NFL Europa and giving once a year games in England, does that make any sense? PEOPLE IN EUROPE WERE GOING TO NFL EUROPA GAMES IDIOT!
I've ripped this league enough anymore and I may punch a hole through my laptop I'm getting so mad typing about what has gone wrong with the NFL.

Soft part 1 (The NHL)

In professional sports, more and more athletes seem to becoming soft as the years go on, they either want the time off for the broken nail or they want the $35 million dollar contract after a lackluster season just becuase of who they are, but why? What has happened to the men and women that play these sports becuase they love it and would do anything to succeed? The people that play the game almost always in today's sports world feel the need to call out either their teammates, coaches, or the fans for being yelled at or taunted just to try and deflect the heat that they are getting for their poor play onto the fans. To me, this is the true definition of a soft athlete. It is so annyoing to see players in the NBA, NHL and other leagues (and I will admit their are plenty of guys in these leagues that would pay the teams just for the ability to wear a jersey of a pro sports team because they love what they do and are not consummed by greed) just acting like greedy idiots and arrogant fools on and sometimes off of the court. A clear example of a true soft athlete is Sean Avery, why is he soft? Sean Avery is soft (and stupid) due to the fact that he truly does not have any respect for the game of hockey and others that play it, Sean Avery can play the game when he wants to but has no backbone most nights. The fact that Sean Avery is truly proud of the way that he refuses to fight other players after he gives a cheap shot to an opponent (which is most games) and he skates away or taunts the opposing team from the bench, in my eyes I believe in if you do something to a person be prepared to have it done to you and you better stand up and take it like a man, seeing as Sean Avery doesnt fit into my saying he must be a mouse or some other being that is cowardly. Sean Avery is also soft (and once again stupid) for not being able to draw the line between smart play and stupid play, in game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarter finals matchup between the New York Rangers and the Washington Captials, Avery of the Rangers gives a backhanded punch to Capitals player Milan Jurcina and went after another Capitals player in the game taunting him as he was down on the ground injured, Avery recieved penalites for both incidents and was lucky that the Capitals did not score on either powerplay or Rangers coach John Torterella would have torn into Mr.Avery like a wet paper bag on the bench.
Sean Avery is only one example of a soft player there are many that run in the NHL and other leagues, Carey Price when he was a rookie he was a humble kid but now in year 2 he sees that its tougher than it looks and he tries to act like the big man on campus with his mocking of Pat Roy's sarcastic arm raise to the fans, Carey Price I hope this sweep brought your ego the size of the Province(soon to be a country by 2012) of Quebec down a notch. Am I done yet? Nope not yet, who else is soft in sports? The atheles who want their coaches gone or who "tune them out" during the year a certian team in a certian city with a hockey team in the province of Alberta showed this year that they really did not care and as I said before on my sports show showed they are soft, the team I am refering to is the Edmonton Oilers. Players on the Edmonton Oilers truly showed that they treated this season not as serious as they truly needed, Oilers forward Robert Nilson missed an optional practice when he was in a slump. If your slumping and the coach (former coach now) calls a optional practice THAT IS A MANDATORY PRACTICE THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN OPTIONAL PRACTICE! Thats an insult to the team, the coach and to the league if your missing a chance to get more practice when you need it. Many members of the Edmonton Oilers showed that their minds were not on hockey (some like Steve Staios, Ethan Moreau, Dwayne Roloson, Sheldon Souray,Ales Hemsky and Zack Stortini showed that they were in complete focus this entire NHL season) Well, thats enough ripping for one day, I know I mentioned earlier the NBA and NFL but the soft overpaid players that cant handle a coach that is a butt buster but like my post on the National Lacrosse League more will come soon, next week, the NFL is getting a good rip from me.

The NLL, A a game you should be checking out part 1

The National Lacrosse League, its has been around since the late 1980's (known then as the Eagle Pro Box Lacrosse League and soon later on the Major Indoor Lacrosse League before becoming the National Lacrosse League in 1998) and many may have seen it on such TV channels as NBC, Versus or Sportsnet if you live in Canada, but have you really seen it?

The NLL is one sport like many that has names that are household in Lacrosse but may not be as well known in other sports, examples being The Gait brothers Paul and Gary, (Gary on left, Paul on right)

or John Tavares (his nephew is the junior hockey star who also is known as John Tavares)

The one thing that the NLL has on many other sports is true creatvity.

Now you may be saying "but Avry! other sports have been creative!"

Not in the way that the National Lacrosse League has been.

How many other sports have the opposing teams come onto the field to the tune of "I'm a barbie girl?"

Thats what the Edmonton Rush did for the Toronto Rock during their game last night at Rexall Place here in Edmonton (The Rush defeated the Rock 16-13).

Another thing that the NLL has going for them is constant "taunting" not allowed by other sports leagues, but it is encouraged in the NLL espically by the PA announcers/commentators!

Here in Edmonton, local FM radio personalities, on 100.3 the Bear Paul Brown, Yukon Jack, and Gillian Foote taunt the opposing teams throughout the entire game over the PA system (lets see this happen in other pro sports) taking shots at former Rush players who are now playing on other teams, making fun of other teams names as they are in the middle of moving the ball up the floor and many other insults.
